Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ was recently recognized by myActions as one of the outstanding universities in the country for Green and Compassionate Student Activity. MyActions is a student-powered college network for sharing sustainable and socially responsible initiatives. The award honors undergraduate schools for student demonstrated leadership; momentum; and impact of green, caring, and healthy actions.
Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ students were recognized for their contribution to Green Level schools by establishing affinity groups and students sharing actions with measured impact, through a group/class, or participating in a national program.
Student Activities and Leadership Development offers more than 60 extra-curricular registered clubs and organizations, including: Pugwash, Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥'s student environmental club; Net Impact Club, whose motto is "using the power of business to change the world"; and the Biology Club, to name a few of the sustainable clubs on campus.
All clubs and organizations at Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ are student run, under the advisement of a faculty or staff member. All registered clubs are open to membership for all Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ students.
